List of Services Provided by Tillman Computer Services

TCS can provide any and all parts required for repairs and upgrades. We sell only high quality parts manufactured by some of the most recognized names in the computer industry such as AMD, Intel, Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, Kingston, Apacer, Seagate, Western Digital, LiteOn, Logitech, ATI, Nvidia, Microsoft and more. If parts are not currently in stock we can order them and have them available usually within 2 business days. You'll find our prices are comparable to and quite often less than the major chain stores and other competitors.

Generally, most services, repairs and upgrades have a quick turnaround time of 2-3 business days.

Hardware/Software Diagnostics and General Routine Maintenance

Service	Description of service and pertinent information about service
Diagnostics	Diagnose hardware or software problems and advise of corrective actions or repairs needed. 75% (3/4) of the diagnostics fee is waived if TCS performs the corrective actions or repairs.
System Optimization	Optimize system by removing unneeded files, system startup programs, cleaning the system registry, and defragmenting the hard disk.
Data File Transfer	Transfer data files from one computer to another. This is data files only, NOT programs.
Data Recovery	Perform data recovery on crashed hard disk drive. The hard disk drive must be in working condition. THIS MAY NOT BE SUCCESSFUL DUE TO THE CONDITION OF THE HARD DRIVE RECOVERING FROM. OUR FEE APPLIES EVEN IF NOT SUCCESSFUL.
Computer Cleaning	Remove dust and dirt from inside of the computer case, power supply, exhaust fans, clean floppy drives and CD/DVD drives.

Specialized Software Services

Service	Description of service and pertinent information about service
Virus, Adware, Spyware and other Malicious Software Removal	Includes installation of Windows Operating System updates and System Optimization (see above). In rare cases a complete operating system restore may be necessary. In this event, the owner may be required to provide the original operating system restore disks and there is an additional fee as well.
Data File Backup	Data files only (IE-Word documents, Excel Spreadsheets, Pictures, Music, etc). It is recommended to have a data file backup done in conjunction with Virus, Adware, Spyware and other Malicious Software removal.
Complete System Backup	This is a 100% system backup, including data files.
Installing/Uninstalling Software	Customer must provide software install disks when needed.
Operating System Install - New or Update, Repair, Reinstall or Upgrade	Customer may be required to provide operating system install disks.
Install Operating System Updates or Program Udates	Install updates to operating system and/or programs per individual operating system and/or program.

The following Specialized Hardware and Networking/Internet Services require customer-supplied parts. The parts can be purchased from TCS or acquired elsewhere. However, parts acquired elsewhere must be in working order and be compatible with your computer and your operating system. If the parts are not in working order or are not compatible with either your computer or your operating system, our fee still applies.

Specialized Hardware Services

Parts Installation	When a hard disk drive is installed, operating system installation/reinstallation, data file backup or transfer, data recovery and other services are available at an additional cost.
Motherboard Replacement	Usually a motherboard replacement requires installation of an operating system, which is included in the price of the motherboard replacement. Any other services will be an additional charge. The customer may be required to provide the operating system install disks and hardware driver disk(s).
Mirror Hard Disk to another Hard Disk	Both hard disks must be in working order. If not, our fee still applies. Most commonly, this service is done in conjunction with upgrading hard disks (IE - from a 120GB HDD to a 250GB HDD).
Laptop DC Jack (where your power adapter plugs into the laptop) Repair	Laptop DC jack repairs are made in our shop, not shipped out to another facility. If a new jack needs to be ordered, this repair will take about a week. Customer needs to bring in the laptop and the AC power adapter for it.

Networking/Internet Services

Service	Description of service and pertinent information about service
Wireless, Wired Network Setup and Dial-Up (telephone) Internet Access	Customer will be required to provide user names and passwords needed to successfully complete the setup services.
