Tillman Computer Services, LLC (TCS) Privacy Policy

Short, sweet and to the point.

Any information TCS ever collects from our customers will NEVER be sold, given or otherwise distributed to any other person or group of persons. It will be used by us and ONLY us in order to provide better services and up to date information to you. Period.

The personal information we store consists of name, address, phone number and e-mail address. We do not collect and/or store any bank information if you pay by check. For return/exchange purposes, we store the last 4 digits of your account number if you pay by credit or debit card. This is so we can insure we issue a refund to the same card as the original purchase.

This policy applies to our web site as well as our store.

There are 2 exceptions to the above policy:

If you ever enter any kind of contest we have and become a winner, we will post your name (ONLY your name) in our store and on our web site for 1 month (give or take a few days, usually give) beginning at the time the winner is declared. At the end of that month (give or take a few days, usually give) your name will be removed from both our store and our web site.

If you drop off a business card for our "Have Lunch on Us" drawing your business card will posted in our store on our bulletin board for a month (give or take a few days, usually give). Obviously, any information that's on your business card will be viewable to the public. At the end of that month (give or take a few days, usually give) we take it down and it won't be displayed again unless you drop off another card.

As far as what we do to protect your information from outsiders goes, we have all the industry standards (IE - firewalls, intrustion protection, etc) in place. We're relying on the companies that manufacture the software and hardware we're using to provide the security they claim they do. That's why be paid for their products. We can't do more than that. No one can, not really.

We apologize for being so simplistic in our privacy policy. We probably should write a 20 page document with paragraphs, sub-paragraphs, sections and subsections, complete with small print and all kinds of disclaimers since that pretty much seems to be the industry (and World Wide Web) standard, but we're trying to make your computing experience with us easier (not to mention cheaper) than dealing with our competitors. We subscribe to the theory of "Occam's Razor", which simply paraphrased goes like this: "All other things being equal, the simplest solution is the best".
