TCS Custom-Built Desktop Computer Baseline

All TCS Custom-Built Desktop Computers are assembled in our store using only high-quality components and there is nothing that remotely resembles "planned obsolescence" in any of them. Our custom-built computers are designed and built to meet your current computing needs and can be upgraded to meet your future computing needs without forcing you to buy a completely new computer.

This is good for you as a consumer because it's cheaper to upgrade an existing computer than it is to buy a new one. This is good for America, because it's one less computer that needs to be assembled in a foreign country at the expense of lost American jobs. Last, but certainly not least, it's good for our planet because it helps reduce the amount of toxic waste caused by disposing of obsolete computers. Everyone wins except the name-brand computer manufacturers who outsource what used to be American jobs to foreign countries, some of which may not even like the United States of America and/or her citizens (that's you, your family and your friends!).

The TCS "baseline" is the MINIMUM features you will find in all of our custom-built computers. TCS features both AMD and Intel processor based systems, but regardless of the processor type you prefer, all TCS custom-built computers feature the following:

Memory	4GB DDR2 800Mhz (This is the maximum supported by 32-bit versions of Windows XP and Windows Vista.) Unless you upgrade to a 64-bit version of Windows, you will never have to perform a memory upgrade.

Microsoft Windows XP Home	This will continue to be our "baseline" operating system until Windows XP is no longer available. Microsoft has control over that time frame. When Microsoft decides to pull the plug on XP totally, we will switch to Vista Home Premium as our baseline operating system.
Warranty	Our custom-built desktop computers come with an industry-standard 1 year parts and labor warranty.

The above are the MINIMUM "baseline" features you will find on every TCS Custom-Built computer. However, we can custom configure a computer to meet whatever your needs or wants happen to be, such as:

Any Windows operating system you want (XP or later).
Seperate Video Card instead of integrated graphics.
Seperate Audio (Sound) card insted of integrated audio.
Multiple Hard Disk Drives, including RAID for hot/cold swap.
Higher Wattage Power Supplies.
